| The Fort Bend Independent School District is proud to announce the names of 54 FBISD | ||||||||||
| students who have been named semifinalists in the 2006 National Merit Scholarship | ||||||||||
| Program. The 54 FBISD semifinalists are among more than 1.3 million students in over | ||||||||||
| 21,000 United States high schools who entered the Merit Program as juniors by taking | ||||||||||
| the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Using this qualifying test as an | ||||||||||
| initial screen of program entrants, the highest scorers in each state were designated | ||||||||||
| semifinalists, in numbers representing less than one percent of the state's high | ||||||||||
