Theater: Ninth Annual Tommy Tune Awards - April 20, 2011, Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. As one of 45 Houston-area high schools in the 2011 Tommy Tune competition, Clements High School received six nominations for the musical South Pacific: Best Choreography, Best Musical Direction, Best Orchestra, Best Lighting Design, Best Supporting Actor (Jacob Khalil as Lt. Cable), and Best Supporting Actor (Jack Spalding as Luther Billis). Also, Charlotte Brook was nominated for a theatrical scholarship. Jacob Khalil won the award for Best Supporting Actor.
